This is the first of what may well become several ongoing conversations with Terry Rankin. Terry is an AI scientist and philosopher.
We talk about how to constructively think about artificial intelligence using the (Alan) Turing Test developed back in the 1950s and also examine what a couple of the most salient threats posed by AI are at this point.
As the conversations go on in the future, we hope to address some of the philosophical issues related to AI and the ideological paradigm under which AI development and implementation is occurring- stay tuned!
