There’ll be parties for hosting Marshmallows for toasting And caroling out in the snow There’ll be scary ghost stories And tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago It’s the most wonderful time of the year There’ll be much mistletoeing And hearts will be glowing when loved ones are near
I can't even begin to tell you how delightful your words are, and how much I echo your sentiments... In all regards... Touché to you Sir! Your words have come as close to a genuine and heartfelt "Christmas" (in the true meaning of the word) message as anything that I have ever read.
As a curmudgeon and miserablist I'm in shock! I loved the piece and I might well be having a Scrooge-like conversion. I might well go out and buy a Christmas Tree. And, seeing I'm in nostalgic mode, can I recommend the 1951 version of Christmas Carol, starring the wonderful Alistair Sim. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VszNMtgbmJU Merry Christmas!
My pleasure and a couple of people have already warmed to your pertinent prose. And, it's not exactly proper but we've decorated one of our olive trees with lights. cheers.
Merry Christmas to you as well. Watching each of the Peanuts holiday specials is a tradition of my family, and I find the Christmas special to be quite profound (besides being enjoyable to watch). It's very well-written and everything it grapples with continues to come up today. The ultimate message is clear though, delivered by Linus so perfectly each time: Christmas is about that small child born in a manger to a young virgin, who is God with us.

Very nice article! I'm going to watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special now 😁 Merry Christmas!
